Department of Information Systems is established to:
1. Provide and offer courses related to Software Engineering and Information Systems which is in demand to test the efficiency of the application systems used in an organization.
2. Produce graduates that are good in the technical aspects of software development including the tools needed in software development.
3. Produce graduates with skills in managing software development, identifying the information needed for an organization, and can handle human problems caused by the information systems.
4. Produce graduates that can help the organization to identify and provide the information technology needed accurately.
5. Serve as a great education and research center in Software Engineering and Information Systems
