Overview:
Unlike traditional computers which are isolated entities, modern computer systems are interconnected into largely networked and heterogeneous systems. Therefore, some degree of control and protection is vital to preserve the integrity of the information being shared among the participating computational entities. The Information Security group is a part of the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia. The group’s work explores researches in areas such as computer and system security, including access control and protection, programming languages and systems, and operating systems.
