Pengenalan

Kumpulan penyelidik ini menjalankan penyelidikan dalam bidang Komputer Kuantum, pengkomputan teragih dan selari dengan menekankan senibina perisian, komponen perisian, bahasa pengaturcaraan dan paradigma dalam system selari dan teragih. Sistem teragih dan selari adalah terdiri daripada komponen perisian dan perkakasan yang membolehkan satu amsalah besar di selesaikan pada masa yang optimum. Selain daripada bahasa shared memory, perisian Message Passing Interface dan Parallel Virtual System juga dipasang.

Kumpulan kami juga menjalankan penyelidikan dalam bidang Komputer Quantum di mana maklumat disimpan dalam keadaan quantum tertentu bagi system mikroskopik seperti photon atau atom dan berubah dengan masa berdasarkan peraturan Mekanik Kuantum. Ini membolehkan transmisi informasi dan proses menjadi kenyataan. Ia juga merangkumi quantum entanglement, quantum teleportation dan quantum cryptography . Kumpulan penyelikan ini memberikan penekanan kepada dua bidang iaitu:

a) Parallel and distributed computing

b) Quantum Computing
